ALLOWALL Copyright (c) 2013 Allegro Consultants, Inc. www.allegrosupport.com Some commands on MPE are restricted to the operator, including many commands controlling the spooler facility (e.g., :STARTSPOOL). The operator can use the :ALLOW command to allow other users to use some of these commands, but this facility is not robust. For example, the ALLOW command has no ability to target a specific job or session. Historically, some users have chosen to use "god" programs, which grant their job or session all capabilities and the equivalent of allowing them use of all operator commands. However, that introduces a large security hole. ALLOWALL is in between :ALLOW and a "god" program. ALLOWALL temporarily allows the job or session that runs it to use the various operator commands that the 'ALLOW' command could have been used to allow. Usage: run allowall.pub.allegro The abilities granted by ALLOWALL will disappear when the job or session logs off. ALLOWALL must reside in a group.account with PM capability. The system manager should secure access to ALLOWALL as desired. ALLOWALL version 20140821
